Daniel Silliman (born June 11, 1982) is a journalist. He is a crime reporter and columnist for the Clayton News-Daily in Jonesboro, Georgia.
Silliman was born on the Pacific coast.[1]
At Hillsdale College, Silliman served as editor-in-chief of the Collegian, the campus newspaper. Silliman received a bachelor of arts in philosophy, writing his senior thesis on the mind/body problem. He has maintained a blog chronicling his writings since 2002.
Silliman lived at the Beat (an off-campus house) during his senior year and worked in retail before moving to Georgia to begin working the crime beat with the Clayton News-Daily.
As of March 2008, Silliman is engaged to be married.[2]
Ron Silliman, a contemporary American poet, is Daniel's uncle.[3]
Silliman attended college with fiction writers Jonathan Dunn, Kyle Janke, and David Frank and with Narrows guitarist Evan Moran.
