Dr. Daniel S. Papp is the current President of the Kennesaw State University (KSU), a position he has held since July of 2006.

Dr. Papp is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Dartmouth College with a bachelor's degree in International Affairs in 1969.[1] In 1973, Papp received a Ph.D. in International Affairs from the University of Miami.[1]

[edit] Early career
Dr. Papp's first position in academia was as an Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech in 1973.[1] Papp also has held visiting and research professor positions at Fudan University, in Shanghai, China; the Center for Aerospace Doctrine, Research and Education at the U.S. Air War College, in Montgomery, Ala.; the Strategic Studies Institute at the U.S. Army War College, in Carlisle, Pa.; and the Western Australia Institute of Technology, in Perth, Australia.[2]
In 1990 he became the founding director and professor for Georgia Tech's Sam Nunn School of International Affairs. Papp remained a professor at Georgia Tech until 1997 when he was appointed interim president of Southern Polytechnic State University.[2]

Prior to his appointment at KSU, he was the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academics and Fiscal Affairs to the University System of Georgia.
