Daniel Marquis

Daniel Marquis (1829 Glasgow, Scotland - 1879 Brisbane, Queensland) came to Australia from Scotland in 1865 where he had a studio as a professional photographer at 32 King street, Stirling Castle, Scotland. [1] Marquis was one of the earliest portrait photographers in Brisbane. He was given a land grant at Kangaroo Point, and set up his photographic studio in 82 George Street, Brisbane, from 1866 to 1880. [2] [3]
