Daniel Collopy (born February 1, 1978) is an Australian actor.

Throughout his school years he was always involved in drama and after doing his first musical, Les Miserables, he knew that he wanted to act. Apart from drama, he studied art, media & theatre studies. Following his graduation he was accepted into Swinburne University where he studied graphic design. He deferred his second year of university to begin working in radio and following that returned to study drama again at the National theatre in Melbourne. It was during his studies that he landed his first T.V role as Sean Edwards in long running Australian soap Neighbours. Following this Daniel was offered a regular role in another long running Australian soap Home and Away. He played Josh West from 2001 until 2003 with further guest appearances in both 2005 and 2006, respectively. In 2003, Daniel was nominated for a Logie Award for Most popular new male talent for his role as Josh West in Home and Away.

  • Daniel comes from a family of 9 consisting of his mum, dad, 4 brothers and 2 sisters, with Daniel being the youngest of the siblings. He also has 11 nephews and nieces.
  • He surrounds himself with music. He played 8 instruments throughout school, including the piano & drums, but his main instrument is his voice. Music has always been around as 2 of his brothers are professional musicians. Some of his earliest memories are of climbing up onto the piano to hear the notes he could make hitting the keys.
  • Daniel still operates his graphic design business.
