Daniel Alomía Robles (b. 3 January 1871; d. 18 June 1942) was a Peruvian composer and ethnomusicologist. He is best known for composing the zarzuela El Cóndor Pasa in 1913, which contains the song of the same name. This song was based on Andean folk songs and is possibly the best known Peruvian song because the melody was used by Simon and Garfunkel as their melody for "El Condor Pasa (If I Could)", though the song has different lyrics.
