"Dandelion" is a song by the British rock 'n roll band The Rolling Stones. It was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and first released as a B-side to "We Love You" in August, 1967. The song was recorded at Olympic Recording Studios in London during the recording of the Their Satanic Majesties Request album. It reached # 14 in the U.S., and effectively became the A-side there (as "We Love You" disappointed at #50 on U.S. charts). This is reflected in "Dandelion" appearing on both the U.S. and U.K. versions of Through the Past, Darkly (Big Hits Vol. 2), while "We Love You" appeared only on the U.K. version. The lyrics are reminiscent of nursery rhymes. The original version of the song was titled Sometimes Happy, Sometimes Blue and had different lyrics.
