Dan Walker (sports journalist)

Dan Walker can be seen presenting the sport on BBC News throughout the week. He also regularly reports on the football for Score and works for Football Focus and Match of the Day.

Dan began his career as a sports presenter for Key 103 radio, in Manchester, from September 1999. He was a freelance football commentator for a few years before moving into TV with Granada. Prior to joining the BBC News channel he was sports presenter for the program BBC North West Tonight. During his time with the program, he was nominated for a number of awards and was voted the Nations and Regions Sports Presenter of the Year at the 2005 Royal Television Sports Awards.
