Dan Healy was, after Owsley Stanley (aka Bear), the Grateful Dead's first and most influential sound man.[1][2] A favorite amongst dead heads for many years, he was the first introduce legal bootlegs for live concert recordings. Furthermore, he also was a pioneer in rock sound system innovation (see the Wall of Sound).
