Dan Elliott

Daniel Michael Elliott (born November 2, 1954 (Age 53)), commonly known as Dan Elliott, currently anchors KXTV News10 Good Morning from 5-7am with Kelly Jackson and News10 Midday from 11-11:30am with Jennifer Smith and solo on friday.
Dan was born in Capinteria, California. He joined the station in January 1989 hired as the sports anchor. Until 1995 Dan had decided he wanted to get into the news side of Broadcast Journalism, so he later became a morning anchor. Dan started anchoring News10 Good Morning in 1995 with Amy Carlisle, and in 1998 with Kiran Chetry (Now at CNN in New York) and in 2001 with Alicia Malaby also in 2002 with Sharon Ito and now with Kelly Jackson since April 2007.
Dan graduated from San Francisco State University in 1976 with a Bachelor Arts Degree in Broadcast Communications. Before joining News10 in early 1989, he previously worked at KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara as a Sports Director.He was also a color commentator and sports anchor for KTMS Radio in Santa Barbara, and has worked at KFRC and KGO Radio in San Francisco.
Dan currently lives in West Laguna in Elk Grove, south of Sacramento county with three sons and his wife. His hobbies include golf and spending time with his family.
