[edit] merger

I suggest Bistro Moncur be merged with the article on the chef. Both articles are short. The chef's article mentions his book also and other restaurants. I believe Bistro Moncur and Pignolet are closely interwoven, ie anything said about the restaurant could equally be said in this article--Matilda talk 00:05, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Following a message left on the original editor of the restaurant article's talk page:

Hi the article survived deletion but I still think it would be better merged with an article on the chef - ie all content kept but appearing under the article on Pignolet and the article title would be a redirect to Pignolet. What do you think? Comments should be made at Talk:Damien Pignolet Regards --Matilda talk 00:10, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

I received the following reply:

What factors in to your decision to merge it with Damien and not Damien with it? Or merge it to Woolahra Hotel or vice versa? I need to see a line of logic. As for me I don't know what to do. Jason7825 (talk) 01:43, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

I am continuing the discussion here. As above, I believe Bistro Moncur and Pignolet are closely interwoven, ie anything said about the restaurant could equally be said in this article. This article has the greater capacity for expansion as there is more to be said about the chef than the restaurant. In the case of other Australian chef's of some notability we have articles on the chefs and not their restaurant, for example Neil Perry and not Rockpool.--Matilda talk 02:10, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Great line of logic, let's merge and redirect! Jason7825 (talk) 03:46, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
