Dam (band)

Dam is a British metal band (formed in 1997) from London, UK. The band's music, heavily influenced by early nineties death metal, can be mainly characterized as a fusion of death metal, black metal and thrash metal with a touch of progressive rock and heavy metal. The band describe their style as extreme metal.
Dam have released a debut, "Purity (The Darwinian Paradox)" (2005), on Candlelight Records and are on the verge of having their second album, "The Difference Engine" (2007) released, also on Candlelight Records. These albums feature guest contributions of musicians from other bands such as Akercocke, Ted Maul, Guapo, DHG, Indesinence and Gorerotted.
The band's current lineup comprises Nathan Underwood (guitar and vocals), Daniel Rumbol (bass guitar), and Brad Merry (drums). Dan Knight (guitar) of London extreme metal band Ted Maul also currently performs live with the band. Brad Merry is endorsed drumstick company Grindstix, which is partly run by Sean Reinert from Cynic and Death.
