It says he has a CBE but in the article says he was awarded an OBE...

This says he got the CBE in 2000. It's fairly common to get one award and then get a higher one a few years later (the order goes MBE, OBE, CBE, KBE/DBE, GBE). — sjorford (talk) 12:07, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Obscenity sentence

"He won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award the same year, but it was marred by Thompson uttering an obscenity in his acceptance speech during the live broadcast of the programme." This is journalistic, not encyclopaedic. I have therefore rephrased it to be NPOV, but a transcipt would be amusing and add value to the article Fiddle Faddle 16:13, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Neutral point of view

There is a lot of praise being thrown onto DT in this article. Im not saying he doesn't deserve it but without references and citations it reads like a fans tribute. Tremello22 15:00, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
