...Sometimes, as in the vault of Saint-Pérégrin of the same church, the floor pavement is composed of a uniform design surrounded by a border or an inscription (4). This pavement (the fragment pictured above represents one quarter of the entire floor) is made out of hard limestone. The bottom of the fleur de lis is black, the green bottom of the rosettes are olive, the red rivet washers as well as the inscription; small gilded cubes of glass encrusted in A égayent the whole of a little dark colouring...
