Dalles of the St. Croix River

The Dalles of the St. Croix River are located east of Minneapolis, Minnesota on the St. Croix River at the Minnesota/Wisconsin border. The Dalles, defined as the rapids of a river running between the walls of a canyon or gorge, are contained within Interstate Park and the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway.
The numerous basalt cliffs of the Dalles are a popular place to rock climb.
