Born as 'Dale Packard' in Canberra in 1984. He currently plays Keyboard & Backing Vocals in Australian band Ground components. Since moving to Melbourne, Dallas has played in a NoFX cover band & originals band 'Red Clover' with Indra, also from Ground components
Dallas works around Melbourne as a sound engineer, mixing acts such as Macromantics. He occasionally plays saxophone in Architecture in Helsinki.
Dallas can also be found showing people coin tricks, Datarock were very impressed at his trickster skills.
Dallas says about himself "As far as a bio goes I'm terrible at writing those kind of things so I'll give you some info and you can make what you wish of it. Here's me in dot points: -player of clarinet, saxophone, piano, drums, guitar, tin whistle -play in rock band Ground Components and family folk band New Dogs Old Tricks -Have toured nationally and internationally -Have released a couple albums -Have played with notable acts: Architecture in Helsinki, Jens Lekman, Sally Timms and Jon Langford (The Mekons), The Microphones -Passion for sound engineering, both recording and live mixing. -Lover of eclectic music from Charles Mingus to Iris DeMent to The Ramones to N.W.A. -Cooker of delicious cous cous and toasted muesli"
