Dalen (name)

The name Dalen is used both as a first name and as a surname. In Norway the name Dalen means "In between the mountains" or "valley".

Despite the rarity of the name Dalen used as a first name in America, it is becoming more common. A few decades ago, Dalen was not that uncommon of a name in North Dakota. Now, in the deep south, the land of tradition, the name is popping up from Georgia to Texas.
