Daikundi is one of the major tribes of the Hazaras of Hazarajat, central Afghanistan. They inhabit the Daikundi province and the Lal wa sarjangal district of Ghor province. Daikundis remained secluded and unhinged from the devastations and the resulting uprooting of different Hazara tribes, after the Battle of Urozgan. A Provence by the name of Daikundi was created from the upper half of the urozgan provence of Aghanistan in 2004.
