Hello, my name is Jay Williams. I'm a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. My dissertation applies cognitive linguistics/cognitive grammar to the Navajo language. My master's degree focused on metaphor and metonymy in Navajo onomastics or placenames.
