The Daewoo Royale is a mid-size car produced by Daewoo in South Korea between 1975 and 1978, and later between 1980 and 1991. It was replaced by the Daewoo Prince vehicle line.

[edit] First generation (1975–1978)

The first generation was based on the Opel Rekord D; 12,005 cars were produced between 1975 and 1978.[1]

[edit] Second generation (1980–1991)

The second generation model was based on the Opel Rekord E, featuring the front end of the larger Senator A.[citation needed] Engines were four cylinder Opel engines.[2][3][4] Beginning with the Daewoo Royale Diesel (May 1980–April 1989), Royale Salon (September 1980–September 1991), Royale XQ/Royale Duke (March 1982–March 1989) and Royale Prince (July 1983–May 1991).[5]
