Coordinates: Dadri is a city and a municipal board in Gautam Buddha Nagar District in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Dadri is located at [1]. It has an average elevation of 201 metres (659 feet). Dadri is home to one of the power plant of national thermal power corporation (national capital power station) of capacity 840megawatt(coal based)and 837megawatt(gas based)

As of 2001 India census[2], Dadri had a population of 57,457. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Dadri has an average literacy rate of 54%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 62% and, female literacy is 46%. In Dadri, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Dadri played a very important role in the battle of freedom in 1857, when its Gurjar ruler "Rao Umrao Singh Bhati" rose against the British rule and damaged the same by associating other Gurjar rulers of the nearby area. He was hanged along with 4 other mutineers by the British. But nothing is found in any texts about him and his sacrifice.

Dadri have a great contribution when we talk about electric power generation it got a power station that used to generate around 800MW of electric Power by two means a)by using Coal b)by using Gas.it have INDIA'S first and largest HVDC transmission recently it was in news for anil Ambani's dream project that was generating electric power 5000 MW.
Dadri have an ultimate telent in itself several great engineers like Arif Md Khan Used to live here in his past.
