Dactylorhiza traunsteineri subsp. traunsteineri (synonym Dactylorhiza traunsteinerioides (Pugsley) Landwehr) or Pugsley's Marsh Orchid occurs from Europe to West Siberia.

The "traunsteinerioides" form is endemic to Great Britain and Ireland in scattered localities.

It is a scarce orchid, occurring mostly in fens.
