D Centauri (D Cen) is a binary star in the constellation Centaurus. The system has a combined apparent magnitude of +5.31 and is approximately 566 light years from Earth.
The system is classified as an orange K-type giant. The primary component, D Centauri A, has an apparent magnitude of +5.31, while the apparent magnitude of the companion, D Centauri B is +6.8. The two stars are separated by 2.9 arcseconds.
