D-Side is an Irish boyband. Established in 2001, by twin doctors and then management moguls Rory and Eoghan Mac Sweeney, they have had some success in Japan, the United Kingdom, and Europe, winning Best New Band Award at the Smash Hits Tour in 2002. The band was originally made up of five members, Ryan O'Rian, Shane Creevey, Derek Moran, Damien Bowe and Dane Guiden. It became a threesome, however, when Damien and Dane both left for personal reasons.
They have had 3 top ten singles in the UK, and have supported Blue, Westlife and numerous other bands on tour during 2003 and 2004, as well as being involved in Charity events such as Soccer Magic, Soccer 6, Children in Need and ChildLine, raising money for good causes.
Over the past few years they have been successful in Japan where their single "Invisible" reached number one. They have released two studio albums there, with a third currently being worked on. They are signed to the Japanese record label, Avex, managed by MadDog Management, and went on tour at the end of 2005.
