In the context of porphyrin biosynthesis someone looking for info would be likely to type in D-aminolevulinic acid not 5-aminolevulinic acid as most molecular biology texts/websites etc would refer to it as the former. The latter is technically correct but not in common usage Skippyonline 10:10, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
