- Graduated from Bornova Anatolian High School, Izmir in 2003.
- Graduated from Sabanci University with a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2007.
- Worked as an editor for AudioCubes, Inc. and MiniDisc T-Station from May 2003 through May 2005.
- Worked on NLP as part of the FrameNet project at ICSI in Berkeley, California in Summer 2006.
- Is a fluent programmer in C, C++, C#, Delphi, Java, Perl, PHP, Python and Ruby
- Is familiar with many database systems like Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL
