Cytora hirsutissima is a species of terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Liareidae .

This species is endemic to Great Island, one of New Zealand's Three Kings Islands.
[edit] Habitat
This snail is typically found at about 700 ft in altitude, in leaf mould among large boulders under the shade of Paratrophis and Brachyglottis plants.

The shell has convex whorls, with sculpture of numerous axial threads. The body whorl, and the previous whorl, have hirsute processes, giving rise to its specific name.
Coloration of the early spire whorls and hirsute processes is dark brown.
Shell height is up to 7 mm, and the width is up to 7 mm.
