Cyprus College is a for-profit college in Nicosia, Cyprus. The College has an enrollment of 3,500.
The College was founded in 1961 by Ioannis Gregoriou as a business school. It has since expanded into a number of other fields, including computer science, graduate studies and social sciences. In 2005, Laureate Education, Inc. purchased a 45% stake in Cyprus College. The network of for-profit colleges owned by Laureate Education has infused the College with technical and academic support. As a result, the College has already submitted an application to the Cypriot Ministry of Education and Culture to establish a private university with the name Cyprus International University. Approval for this came in September 2007 and the college has changed its name to European University - Cyprus[1].
