Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia. Actually the final warning was with User_talk:72.43.98.211 and it was violated here [2]. (Requestion 16:27, 23 March 2007 (UTC))
[edit] CVISION
Well, from the warning above, it appears the link you added is considered a part of the MediaWiki spam blacklist. I don't exactly why the link is bad, but I suggest you contact Eagle 101 and I think he could definitely help answer your question better. Nishkid64 21:33, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hello CVISION. I have added the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd spam warnings that go before the last warning. I have done this as a courtesy so that you can read them if you wish. Normally this is all done sequentially on the same page but since you jumped accounts it got chopped up. Please read all four warnings and the articles they link to. They are very informative. The main point is that Wikipedia is not supposed to be used for promotional purposes.
- I was just about to submit the report for the blacklisting request but now that we have an open dialogue channel I'm going to delay this action. Blacklisting is a really bad thing and I would prefer that we don't have to go down that route. So if you can stop adding the cvisiontech.com link to Wikipedia then I will hold off on submiting the blacklist request. Basically I'm giving you a second chance.
- If you have any questions then please ask them here and I will return and answer them. (Requestion 06:26, 24 March 2007 (UTC))
