I am waiting for the official site to come back up. I think it is down, then I will add the members list and add the founders and founding date. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zanthra (talk • contribs) .
The Cusco website came back up so I changed the link from the Archive.org version to the offical version.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zanthra (talk • contribs) .
[edit] Album pages
There are so many small formatting mistakes on the album pages that I'm going to have to finish my edits tomorrow (and perhaps some on the next day. I will get round to it, and then perhaps they'll look neater. I also move the Kristian Schultz page to Kristian Schultze since it was a spelling error. I don't even know who these guys are... Tartan 18:48, 24 May 2006 (UTC) Oh, and I'll also organise the albums on the main page in chronological order (since they aren't even alphabetized). Tartan 18:54, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Finshed. Feel free to correct anything I've missed out or done wrong (such as the ordering of albums). Tartan 16:17, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Update: Zanthra and Tartan have apparently done some great work on this page. For information on the 2008 updates, please see the folowing sections below.

[edit] Release dates
Thank you all for putting up what information you have been able to find on this band. Unfortunately, for some reason it is very difficult to find accurate information regarding the record labels and release dates for this particular group. Many online discographies even have inaccurate information, which has by now propogated all over the web. As someone who has followed the band for a long time and actually has most of the albums in question, I have some more solid information about these release dates.
For instance, the albums have individual original copyright dates through AutoBahn Musikverlag listed within their liner notes (Planet Voyage shows very clear '1984's; Island Cruise very clear '1985's), implying that these albums couldn't possibly have been released as early as some sources like to state. I have edited several pages with corrections and expanded descriptions in general, making some connections and illuminating a few relatively unknown facts. I still believe that more can be done with this article, but at least the community will have access to the most accurate information that we have available to us now. Of course, if anyone has conflicting solid information, please let me know about this as well. There is still some uncertainty out there as I look through all of the sources that I can find. I will attempt to contact BSC about some of these questions with the very early albums. Unfortunately, I already know that some of their information is wrong as well. For instance, they show Ancient Journeys as 2001, and it was most definitely released in 2000. As with most band albums, unless one has a source of exact release dates, the copyright dates are the best information we have to go on, as albums are typically released just after the copyrights go through, and almost never before.
Thanks again for the time you have already invested into what is indeed a fairly thorough discography. I may do more expanding in the near future, so that this might be a more complete Cusco information resource.

Holy crap, I've just got confirmation that COOL ISLANDS was in fact first released in 1982, and more surprising than that, VIRGIN ISLANDS was released in freaking 1983! Just as some of the "incorrect" discographies claim. It's so surprising how one discography can be accurate in one way and yet completely wrong in another, while another may correct problems of the first while introducing its own issues into the mix.
This is confusing as Planet Voyage is supposed to fall in line between Cool Islands and Virgin Islands, and yet it very clearly says 1984 right on the thing. Either this information is wrong, or Planet Voyage was released AFTER Virgin Islands, and now that I think about it, perhaps after Island Cruise as well. Island Cruise, that poor, sorry excuse for a Cusco album. LOL, I still need to get the real info on many other albums, but *I WILL GET THEM*. To see an original LP release of Planet Voyage would certainly help quite a bit. If it says anything earlier than 1984, then I can probably use the dates in the Early Best of Cusco (and the BSC music site) as they have so far matched the early "surprises" with the exception that it still introduces confusion on whether Desert Island was really 1980 or 1981. Yes, my friends, it is something of a minor personal mission of mine to get this page accurate in every way possible. To think, Apurimac may have been a 1984/1985 album after all. Just a particularly good one given the time period.

Updates made with all the release date information I've been able to obtain as of now. The only things left not completely verified are Desert Island and Planet Voyage. As soon as these are also verified, I will remove some of these discussion paragraphs from the page and just leave up what is necessary. Thank you for your patience as I try to get each and every year exactly accurate.

[edit] Expansions
I am working on getting all of the album covers online and in a somewhat standardized format (Prudence, Higher Octave, Kitty), as well as expanding the album descriptions with all of the crossover tracks referenced between albums. On the main band page, I plan to add sections which describe the band's sound as it has evolved through time. This may involve brief descriptions of the sound of each album string. If feasible, I may even add short sound clips, or at least point the reader toward the Cuscomusic page for samples from the Higher Octave releases. Also, I am trying to obtain award nominations and Billboard positions for each album that has charted since the New Age category first debuted in 1989.
Hopefully, as this work in progress all eventually nears completion, we will have a full and respectable Cusco page, and not just a stub (albeit by now a very large stub). Of course, I still welcome any additional information that can be supplied if anyone here knows anything that I don't. :)

Prudence covers are uploaded, and man, do they fit so much better with the sound of the band. Now I need to get all the others straight, as some of the Higher Octaves never got tagged, plus Early Best of and Dreams & Fantasies also need uploading. But hey, it's coming into shape now, isn't it? :)

Woo-hoo! EVERY SINGLE Cusco album release now has a page and a corresponding album cover. Shaping up more and more...
