[edit] Inaccuracies

Your article titled "User: Tingalex" is INACCURATE. Your userboxes state you double space after periods, yet in YOUR User profile, you never do this! Also, I noticed that you use the improper form of "too", you grammatical hypocrite, (as a ruse I commented your User page), I find it ironic that you claim to be crucial when it comes to grammar, yet you make mistakes LIKE THIS! pickythpick 20:27, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Pickythepick"

If you had taken the time to think for even less than one second that my page was vandalized, perhaps you would have thought before leaving this king of comment on my user page. Your edits to my user page itself were also unprofessional and derogatory -- certainly not wikipedia acceptable. Your edits to my user page are considered vandalism and are completely inappropriate. Please take the joy of responding, wikipedia master. Your extended list of contributions to wikipedia allow you to claim victory. Tingalex 18:56, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Actually kiddo, read the paragraph you just wrote--it is lacking the double spacing you brag to include. Concede defeat to the Wikipedia master.

To be honest, had you taken the time to read his comment and your user page, you would have seen that his statements are valid. In every sentence in your page, there is not one that ends in two spaces after the period. Also, for finding grammar and proper spelling so crucial, obvious grammatical mistakes do prove you to be quite the hypocrite. Especially, when in your rebuttal, you wrote "king" instead of "kind". I also enjoyed the fact that you fixed "too" (from "to"), pretending that you had never made that mistake. Honestly, Tingalex, I think the lesson in all of this is that you maybe shouldn't be such a hypocritical prick; maybe if you weren't so narcissistic, always thinking that you were right and didn't always correct everyone else, you wouldn't find yourself in this situation -- being corrected and then mocked on your flaws. Acleanescape 14:23 May 20, 2007
You people are unbelievable. If you go to edit this page, you would see that EACH and EVERY ONE of my sentences contain French spacing. Although it may not appear that way, opening up the editing page proves otherwise. If I did not French space any of my sentences, why would I say that I do so? Also, when viewing the edit page for my discussion section, your minute knowledge of wikipedia is demonstrated. You do not even sign your name using four tildes; rather, you simply attempt to make it look that way to the reader. So far, I have made two (2) mistakes: king and to. I double-space each sentence unlike what you believe. Your marginal contributions to wikipedia (made up of the creation of Fiela's child five months ago, and the edits of user:tingalex and user:acleanescape) prove my points exactly. I am no devout wikipedian, but my edits (which do not include the numerous "newpages" I have put up for deletion) certainly override yours. I would not concede defeat to any of you idiots. You are nobodies, except for some people who attend my school, trying to make a mockery of their own idiocy. Call yourself a hypocritical prick. Tingalex 03:03, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Conceding defeat? Is Wikipedia a game to you? Does it help you sleep at night knowing you have hierarchy in a virtual world?

Because I have a life, rather than spending my time on the internet pretending I had something to do other than this? I like how lives are now just how much you contribute to a website; I didn't realise that this was what life had been demoted to, apparently I didn't get the memo. Maybe because I'm not on Wikipedia enough. I must apologize, my life doesn't consist of counting what I've done on -- or how much of a contribution -- I've made on Wikipedia today, and I don't feel, as I go to bed each night having had a very progessive day, a sense of satisfaction in knowing that Wikipedia has benefitted from my deletions. But I wouldn't say that that is really a crime though, would you? I would like note though, that my account, made only to post 5 months ago about Fiela's Child (since no articles were present about that novel on internet -- let alone the amazing Wikipedia :O), was created to write about a book that I had read (What reading still exists!? Shocking, I know).
You are right however, and I will admit to the fact that yes, I didn't use wiki-formatting in order to add a name to the end of my discussion comment, but I figured it best to distinguish myself from the post proceeding my own -- which was not me, in case you were unaware -- and I wouldn't say that that was ridiculous either. But I would say, in general, that my comment to you wasn't as bad as you apparently took it and, if anything, you did the opposite of what I suggested. So, get a life, as cliché as that sounds, do something with yourself maybe more productive than this shit and then no one will have anything to say to you(?) There is a fine line between hobby and addiction, I think you've long passed it.

Aleks Tingle although I beleive your critics have been too (too as in the also sense here tingle belle) harsh on you, and that perhaps they have been too mean. But even an esteemed individual such as yourself will admit that the userboxes were pretty funny. Also i beleive you to be more of a destroyer of wikipedia than a creator, and I am slightly biased in my opinions against you because I have had many-an-article deleted by those like you, because they are not "important enough", but these articles with a bit of work could be very great. So I advise you to stop giving abortions to young articles. Good-day sir.

"Abortions to young articles", great analogy.--MittRomney 20:51, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability

Please familiarise yourself with the notability criteria before doing things like this ([1]). That was a decent stub article that easily asserted notability according to WP:BIO. Thanks. --Dweller 16:28, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that...honestly, I remember seeing that article and remember telling myself it was fine. I don't know why I put that up for s.d. Sorry, my mistake. Tingalex 22:15, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
No problem. --Dweller 11:18, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Swimming

Dear Tingalex,

I am trying to create a wikiproject that deals with swimming, and sports based on swimming. I noticed on the swimming talk page you asked for a better swimming picture, and a project like this would bring like minded people together to improve articles, and make moves on suggestions like yours. As a fellow swimmer, I would like to invite you to join. Please add your name here if you are interested. See you around the pool, --wpktsfs 01:38, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Sure...I can't promise devotion, but I certainly added my name. Cheers, thanks for the invite! Tingalex 18:55, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Great News! WikiProject Swimming is now up and running. Your name has been added to the members list, since you noted your interest on the discussion page! If you have any questions, please contact me on my talk page, or the project talk page. For starters, my first goal is to get {{WikiProject Swimming}} on as many swimming related talk pages as possible. Please help get this new project off to a great start! [edit] Nonsense articles

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Jesssemccartney) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Seinfreak37 19:51, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me, I added the nonsense deletion tag. Please don't accuse people of adding nonsense when they are the ones getting rid of it. Check out my contributions for today.Tingalex 19:52, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
The history shows that you created a nonsense page with the nonsense deletion tag already at the top, there is no prior history before you. Perhaps I'm mistaken? *scratches head* -Seinfreak37 19:55, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I saw that a previous page at Jesssemccartney (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) got deleted. I suspect that Tingalex was trying to put a {{db-nonsense}} tag on the article, but it got deleted in the meantime. Maybe it got recreated in an edit conflict? I'm not sure. I was wondering about that myself, especially when the article got created with the {{db-nonsense}} tag. There may have been a warning at the top of the edit window saying something about the article being deleted in the meantime. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 20:00, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
That must be it, Tingalex likely missed a note on the edit page saying that the article was gone, and a new one was inadvertently re-created. Left me wondering what the heck happened. Seinfreak37 20:03, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] One week under our belt

Dear Curlingpro47,

Thank you for being a member of WikiProject Swimming. For all of you that have helped in our first week, thank you so much. This has been a very hard week for us in the States, with the Virginia Tech event. This project has been a way for me to remove my mind from the terrible event. Thank you for helping out, and improving the project. Please keep the motivation going in the next few weeks, and try to recruit as many swimmers, divers, water dancers and polo players as you can. Be proud of your sport!

See you around the pool,

wpktsfs

[edit] Please do not take the rediculous comments above seriously.

I am no fan, Mr. Tingle, however, even I am disgusted by the comments left here. Although the whole adding userboxes was quite entertaining, it is still shocking that the people who claim you have no life have taken the time to meticuluosly add and re-add userboxes. I;m sure they bear you no ill will. Still, I apologize on behalf of the more decent of us. We're not all insensitive clods, "No" offence to the other person.--MittRomney 00:08, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
