[edit] Citations

When citations are needed it's generally accepted to mean 3rd party citations. A band stating they invented a genre then referencing their own website is not a valid citation. WebHamster 20:37, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

This has been rectified and re-worded to (hopefully) comply with citations. Booglamay 20:50, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Fair enough, but something to think about... if they are described as having a Weather Report-like sound then they are hardly pioneers if they sound like other older bands. WebHamster 21:23, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

True - but pioneers or not, bands always have and always will be compared to others - especially in an album review. Besides, the statement was made regarding the performance and production processes (the final sentence of the introductory paragraph backs this up) rather than the "sound" of the soungs. The reference to this issue ("2. Curfew define the 'Electric Jazz' genre") describes this in more detail. Cheers. Booglamay 22:24, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
