[edit] Curb feelers on buses?

I have worked as a bus driver for a few years now, driving all kinds of types (city, inter-urban, tourist coaches etc..) and I have never seen curb feelers on a bus. I suspect this is because they offer very little extra protection (practically all buses have tyre walls and a ride height that is higher than that of the curb) and vision in bus mirrors is far better than cars. There would also be the risk of rapping the passengers waiting for the bus over the feet. /probell (Talk) 19:04, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
