Curtis Stinson

Curtis Stinson (b. February 15, 1983 in Bronx, New York) is a professional American basketball player currently with the Iowa Energy.

He is a former Iowa State Cyclones basketball player. In his three years as a starter at ISU, he led the team to the NIT Final Four and the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. He declared for the 2006 NBA draft but wasn't drafted.

He once played on the Golden State Warriors summer league team, competing for the backup role that was occupied by Keith McLeod, who was recently acquired from the Utah Jazz in the Derek Fisher trade. But he lost out. He signed with KK Split in Croatia's A1 Liga. After playing with the Split for half of the 2006-2007 season Stinson played with the Austin Torros of the NBA Developmental League. He is now playing with the Utah Flash of the NBA Developmental League. At The Iowa State University Stinson was best friends and roommates with Will Blalock who was a guard with the Detroit Pistons. In July 2007 Curtis Stinson signed to play with the New Jersey Nets summer league team. He then signed to play with Kolossos Rodou in the 2007/2008 season but midway through the season that ended. Stinson is now signed to the Iowa Energy, Des Moines NBA D-League team as of April 1st, 2008.
