Curtis G. "Curt" Sonney is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He represents the 4th state legislative district made up of parts of Erie County He is a member of the Republican Party.

During high school, Sonney attended classes at Erie County Vo-Tech. He later took engineering courses at Penn State-Behrend College, from which he earned his degree.
Prior to being elected, Sonney was a self-employed contractor. He later took a job with American Sterilizer, now Steris Corporation. Sonney is a member of United Auto Workers Local 832.

Sommey was first elected in 2004 when he defeated incumbent Tom Scrimenti by 180 votes.[1] In 2006, he ran unopposed for re-election.
In 2007, Representative Sonney serves on Education, Gaming Oversight, Health & Human Services, Tourism & Recreational Development Committees.
