Talk:Culture of Wales

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've started putting some stuff on Welsh music onto this page (I must admit, I'm very biased in favour of folk music against corau meibion). There's plenty of scope for people to fill in more details here, and to write about many other aspects of Welsh culture. Magnus 17:55 Apr 15, 2003 (UTC)

Wouldn't it be manifestly appropriate to link to Celtic mythology? -Smack 06:15 9 Jul 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Holidays

The article states that "Wales has preserved its own distinctive culture, including ... holidays." I would argue that "holidays" is not the best word for this, after all - as the article points out - Wales has no special holidays - only propositions for such. Perhaps "festivals" or "celebrations" would be a better word. March 1st is a big festival/celebration/Gwyl in Wales, but it's no holiday! Hogyn Lleol 15:08, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
