With regards to the post for the site, I think the culture.ca site is significant in the history of Canadian Culture because it is the first of its kind to feature and focus on entirly Canadian content and content producers.
Please edit accordingly but keep in mind this is not an advertisement at all but rather a mention of a monumental leap forward for Canadian Culture.Alexpappas01 19:50, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Please sign your posts. You may want to read WP:NOTE for guidelines on establishing the notability of an article subject, WP:SOAP with regards to Wikipedia not being a tool for promotion of products, website, political views, original research, etc. and WP:CITE for guidelines on how to get reliable references. As of now, this article reads like an advertisement for a new website (whose notability has not been established by other sources than itself). Please do not remove tags until these issues are discussed further.--Boffob (talk) 19:16, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

- Posts in the future will be signed. Thank you for the note regarding guidelines on establishing notability, it will be read. I agree that Wikipedia is not a tool for promotion of products or sites. That is not the intention of this posting at all but rather to bring to light something of great cultural significance to Canadian Culture and Canadian Culture online. If you feel that it reads like a press release, then please feel free to adjust the wording of the document accordingly. Deleting and removing the document is not the proper way to go about it.Alexpappas01 19:54, 15 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexpappas01 (talk • contribs)

- Fixing this article is not something that I can do, at least now, and as long as the notability as not been established. As the creator of this article, establishing notability is your responsability and that of those who share your opinion that this article deserves to exist on Wikipedia. I was not the one to put the advertisement and notability tags in the first place, but such tags, when added to an article, cannot be removed without discussion with others Wikipedians (not just myself), until there is concensus that the tags are no longer needed.--Boffob (talk) 20:06, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

- I appriciate the effort you've put in. I will continue to contribute to this site and see that its shortcomings are fixed. All I can say is that if we are so concerned on getting a consensus about if tags are needed or not, it seems odd to me that no effort would be made to edit the article so that it can stay. It seems as though your fixed on its removal instead of contributing to what at least I think is very important.Alexpappas01 01:00, 16 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexpappas01 (talk • contribs)

- I added the tags, and now looking at this page, I'm pretty sure it needs to go under AfD. This page is a total advertisement, and does not assert any sort of notability. Moreover, I can't find any third party sources to verify the site or any of its claims. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 03:01, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for adding the tags. I will work on getting third party sources to verify the site and its claims. There were several stories in the press that I will try to link to once I find them online.Alexpappas01 01:23, 17 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexpappas01 (talk • contribs)
