Please stop adding unreferenced controversial biographical content to articles, as you did at Ian MacKaye. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. TheLetterM 22:43, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ian MacKaye
Show me your sources. There's no news on the Dischord Records website that mentions his death, no mention on Pitchfork Media, nothing but blog posts, message boards, and nothing else that suggests this is anything but paranoia, idiodicy, rumor, or all three. TheLetterM 22:51, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- I saw that too before you post it, that's completely not a source at all, it's a post on a site that anyone can post on. Did you even bother to read the comments? I posted one on there saying he's not, backed up with an attributable source saying so, the guy who posted the post even went as far to say "Ah ok good. Yeah thats why I said it wasn't official." As for a concrete source saying MacKaye is NOT, I repeat NOT dead, see here. It's posted by a writer for the Baltimore Sun, a newspaper with an editing board, which separates it from the message boards and bloggers saying MacKaye is dead.
