Why do (anonymous) users remove clearly sourced and referenced material? If you can find reputable evidence to back up your statement (doubtful, since the facts already cited are in total agreement with everything I've ever read on the subject), then we can discuss changes. Until then, the article will be restored.
Also, the origin of anything is vital for putting it in its cultural context, and the history of foods is discussed in many, many wikipedia articles. Otherwise, there's only so much you can write about any dish since recipes and personal testimonials are not allowed. Zeng8r 11:01, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
