Crusher (website)

Crusher is a competitor to eVite[1] based in San Francisco, CA. Crusher is an independent company providing a banner-free, simple to use, free invitation service.
Crusher began roughly in August of 2006 and launched its beta service in May of 2007. Crusher came out of beta in December 2007.
Crusher is built using Ruby on Rails with a MySQL database.
The company was founded by Ericson deJesus (of Yahoo! and frog design) and Phillip Bensaid (of frog design) and its beta development was led by Doug McBride (of Ofoto) and soon joined by Russell Richardson (of Microsoft and Siebel).[2] [3] [4] [5]
