[edit] Crop this picture
The IITRI tower totally overshadows Crown Hall. Could we crop this to a wide picture that cuts off some of IITRI? –Shoaler (talk) 16:47, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- Good point. The IIT campus is tough to photograph these days - well, without a really nice wide-angle lens at least. It's worse now that there have been a number of efforts to plant more trees and better landscape - while the campus definitely looks better than it has in a while, it makes photographing entire buildings at once without much interference harder. According to "Mies-ian" tradition, Crown should really be photographed from the south, not the north like it is here, but the south face is about 50-100 feet from another building, while the north face just has an open field in front of it. From that angle, though, as you've pointed out, the tower overshadows it. Anyway (enough history babbling), I'll work on a cropped version and post it when I can. -Duncanr 01:03, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
