Crossgates is a small village in Powys, Wales, some 3 miles North East of Llandrindod Wells and 8 miles South East of Rhayader.
There is a popular service station where the A44 and A483 roads intersect, and Pen-y-Bont railway station is located in the village despite being some 2 miles from Penybont itself.
There is also a primary school, a number of local shops and 2 pubs within the village, along with a hotel and a caravan site.
