[edit] The Tridge

Crossen & Co. purchased an online magazine called The Tridge in 2008 from an anonymous member of the community with plans to turn the popular Web site into a print magazine. The Tridge is an publication that provides unique commentary and perspectives regarding politics, music, culture, fiction, and poetry. A longtime affluent community, Midland boasts a large pool of Ph.D.s, pristine parks, and a general love of the arts. The Tridge continues this unique tradition with its content. The magazine is often referred to as "the New Yorker of Mid-Michigan".

[edit] MidlandForums.com

Along with The Tridge came a collection of Internet forums named MidlandForums.com. The forums act as a virtual meeting place for the online community of Midland, Michigan. The forum received wide publicity and notoriety in 2008 when controversy erupted when an anonymous poster posted a pornographic image. Soon after, the issue dominated the local online community and questions as to the identity of the user erupted into heated debate with accusations abound. The forums are currently controlled by a local volunteer, John Grabinski, as Crossen & Co. continues to distance itself from the project.
