Talk:Cristobalite
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In my opinion, cristobalite is not a "Quartz variety", since quartz refers to a particular crystalline form of silica. The connectivity of tetrahedra in the quartz framework is rather different from that in quartz. It would be better to label it as a "Silica variety", which refers only to chemistry and not structure. This should probably be changed in the original listing "Quartz variety". At the moment I have not changed anything--Octopodes 04:57, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
