[edit] Location

An edit summary reads:

Cressington is a council ward; Grassendale is the locale

In which case, why is the station called Cressington? Or, for that matter, why is the ward called Cressington? Presumably there is a place called Cressington somewhere..... --RFBailey 21:42, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

There is no locale in Liverpool called Cressington. The station is named after the nearby Cressington Park. L1v3rp00l 19:49, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
I've added a note to the article making the park derivation clear. It's at the top, but may fit in elsewhere. Feel free to (re)move the comment as necessary! L1v3rp00l 15:09, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
