Cresencio S. Arcos, Jr.

Cresencio "Cris" S. Arcos, Jr. (born 1943) is a United States diplomat.
Cris Arcos was born in San Antonio, Texas on 10 November 1943, and served as United States Ambassador to Honduras from 1989 to 1993. He also served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, and as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Inter-American Affairs. Following his retirement from the Foreign Service in 1994, Ambassador Arcos served as a vice president at ATT, working on Latin America. Ambassador Arcos has served on the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board during the presidential administrations of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. His most recent position in federal government was that of Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for International Affairs, from which he retired in 2006.
