Cregg Mill
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cregg Mill is a 19th century mill located in the west of Ireland, approximately 13 miles from Galway City. Situated on the Cregg River in Corrandulla, Galway, the Mill was built around the 1820s. Powered by the river, the Mill serviced the local area, including neighbouring Cregg Castle, and served as a feeding centre for the poor of Corrandulla. The Mill is adjoined by a miller's cottage.
The Mill has not functioned for decades, and is now the home of an Irish family. The mill wheel has since been acquired by the Salthill Hotel, Galway.
