Talk:Craig Chandler
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Some things in this Encyclopedia are surprisingly accurate.
However, there are some serious errors as well. I am sure you wish to provide your readers with all the facts.
I would be happy to clarify some of the Inaccuracies for you.

[edit] Chandler's edits
"Rumour has it Chandler has provided a 5 year long term and short term cash flow business plan, with detailed specifics to his Executive Council. "
Why is Craig using Wikipedia to spread rumours about what he may have done?Wikipedia is an encyclopeida. "Rumours" have no place here, only verifiable information.
"However, this has proven to be false ...."
- It is unfortunate that the proof was not provided here.
"Others felt he was and is the future of the new conservative movement."
- Name names, please. Who? Anyone with any credibility? Or are we talking about Craig's
cat?
"Chandler has shown an incredible knack for directing very large and organized right-wing gatherings in the past."
Craig added "incredible" here. It seems he also has an incredible lack of humility, and an incredible propensity for shameless self-promotion.
"Love him or hate him he does not appear to be going away and his influence keeps growing."
Does he Do his supporters really think that this is an appropriate addition to an encyclopedia? Ground Zero 12:21, 29 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Don Leonardo's Comments To Ground Zero
Ground Zero. I find it alarming that you would blame Craig for anything when it was I who made the edits. Many people feel Craig is the future of Canada. The book the Next Canada mentions this as well and several people feel the same as I do. Why not call Craig as he suggested? Craig is well aware of this site as I am the one who pointed it out to him. Quite frankly, Craig does not care what people say about him as long as they are accurate. I will send the link to others to respond. Many people like MP Rob Anders, Calgary Alderman Ric McIver, Rev. Tristan Emmanuel, Mike Harris, Stephen Harper and others think very highly of Craig see PGIB's testimonial section for more.
Chandler keeps getting abused and falsely accused by people such as yourself and the attacks on him once again are shameful.
Don Leonardo, Calgary Alberta
PS He has a dog not a cat, but I am sure when you call him as you have asked he will clear up anything, but I will mention what you have typed.
- Hello Mr. Leonardo. I've made an initial edit to make the article more encyclopedic. In case you hadn't seen them already, I wanted to direct you to the pages for the policies and guidelines that Wikipedia operates by. Specifically, policies regarding a neutral point of view, verifiability, and what Wikipedia is not. Please also do not misinterpret the questions and requests of Wikipedians as "attacks". We seek only to make Wikipedia the best encyclopedia it can be. Kurieeto 00:01, May 30, 2005 (UTC)

- It appeared to me that the edits had been made by Craig Chandler, and I now understand that that was a mistake. I withdraw the comments that I made suggesting that he was responsible for the edits. I encourage you, Don, to review the links that Kurieeto has posted. They will help you to understand why the edits that you (and not Craig Chandler) made were, in many cases, not appropriate for Wikipedia. I will also note that I bear no ill-will toward Chandler. I also am not going to spend my time calling someone who really is of no great significance, in my opinion. Ground Zero 12:56, 30 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Chandler should sue this site!
Whoever these people are they sure are almost slandering Craig. The lack of accountability to members was brought forward by only Barry Ashton who was served papers. As a member of PGIB I know I have been consulted and I have seen the books. Jeff Vermenen, Calgary
I would just like to suggest that someone add a section at the bottom of the page concerning his successful bid for the Alberta PC nomination in Calgary-Egemont. Rick Smith 277 Jonathan Denis 485 Craig Chandler 945 Thanks
I went to this page after reading a news story about Craig Chandler's rejected Tory nomination bid (Dec. 2, 2007). Expecting to find objective, biographical information, most of what I see here is self-glorification, with the most self-serving interpretation of every issue and event. Pages like this make a joke of Wikipedia.

Instead of just complaining I have decided to fix up the "Provinicial Politics" section by adding objective, verifiable information.
