Crazy Cottage was a children's game show created by Paul Zenon, produced by Action Time for Carlton and broadcast on ITV from 4 April 1996 to 29 May 1998. It was first presented by Rick Adams, followed by Jez Edwards with a puppet cuckoo called Vera. The gimmick of the show was that most things had to be performed backwards.

The show started with the presenter saying "goodbye", then starting the games at Round 5.

  • The kooky kitchen-Contestants had to make a pizza or a giant cake in a kitchen thats on a slope but appeared to viewers as a normal room.
  • The trickt trikes game-Contestanst had to undeliever newspapaers in trikes where when you turn the handles one way the wheels turn the other.
  • The backwards game-Contestants had a task and they had to perofrm it backwards so when reversed it looked the right way.
  • The bathroom-One contestand had to answer questions a gunge tank,for every question wrong they got gunged.At the end of the game the video was reversed so it looked like the gunge was flying off them and they were clean.
  • The livingroom-The contestants used to unscramble backwards and upside down pictures on the television screen.

The winning team (the team with the least points) won a trip to alton towers or a posh hotel,the losers (The team with the most) got some backwards prize like a black lightbulb,black mirror or a left handed biscuit.
