Craig Stone (born 29 December 1988 in Gravesend) is an English professional footballer, currently at Gillingham, although the club has made clear that his contract will not be renewed beyond 2008-06-30. He came through the Gillingham youth ranks, making his league debut as a 16 year old in the 2005–06 season away to Hartlepool United, and plays in central midfield.
Stone has been at the club since the age of 10 and impressed sufficiently to be added to the first team squad for the 2006–07 season. He made his first start for the club in a 1–1 draw away to A.F.C. Bournemouth on 28 April 2007.
It was announced on 8 May 2007 that Stone had signed his first professional contract, a one year deal with an option of another year.
On January 17, 2008 Stone joined Brentford on a month's loan, which was later extended for a second month.[1] On his return to Priestfield Stadium he still could not command a regular place in the team and was released on 7 May 2008.
