Craig S. Morford

Craig S. Morford (born 1959-) is an American attorney and former United States Deputy Attorney General.

Morford received his undergraduate degree, majoring in Economics from Hope College in 1981. He received his law degree from Valpraiso University's School of Law in 1984.

Morford has worked for the Justice Department for twenty years and has spent most of his career pursuing public-corruption and organized-crime cases in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the lead prosecutor in the case of then-Congressman James A. Traficant, who was convicted of bribery and racketeering in 2002.[1] Morford was Acting United States Deputy Attorney General in 2007 and 2008, until the confirmation of Mark Filip. He was formerly the Acting United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee and the Eastern District of Michigan. Currently, Morford is Chief Compliance Officer at Cardinal Health, a health care technology developer in Dublin, Oh.
